OVERVIEW
Although we are witnessing one of the most hyped IPOs in the tech world (hint: Ant Financial); most startups don't go the IPO route.
The goal of most startup founders and investors is to build a successful business that will ultimately reward them with a high value exit.
But navigating exits is no easy feat. When to exit, what should be the ideal price, due diligence, future goals, etc.
Thus when investors sit for pitches from startups, they expect the startups to cover the exit strategy.
As George Patterson, managing director at HSBC in New York once said, “Good tech companies are bought, not sold. The question is thus: how to get bought?”
In this workshop, Dave Ng, of Altara Venture will help you learn:
- how to build an effective exit strategy
- how to determine when to exit
- what are the available exit paths and how to choose the right one
- what to keep in mind when you have a buy-out interest
and more in a 60 min fireside chat with e27 Editor, Anisa Menur Maulani.
